Kybella

Description

Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment that permanently reduces submental fullness (double chin) by dissolving fat cells. Once destroyed, these cells cannot regenerate. Treatments are spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with visible reduction developing gradually.

Pre-Care Instructions

Avoid NSAIDs and alcohol 24–48 hours prior to reduce bruising.

Not a candidate if pregnant, breastfeeding, or with active infection in the treatment area.

Inform your provider of previous neck or jaw surgery.

Avoid Kybella within 2 weeks of major events due to expected swelling.

Post-Care Instructions

Swelling, firmness, and tenderness are expected for 1–2 weeks.

Apply ice intermittently in the first 24 hours.

Avoid vigorous exercise for 48 hours.

Sleep elevated the first few nights.

Do not massage unless directed.

Final results appear gradually over several weeks as the body metabolizes fat.
